Winter Hearth – Hero Arts

In 1945, Bob Wells and Mel Torme wrote “The Christmas Song” you know the one, “Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire” or as it was original titled,”Merry Christmas to You.” I may have started singing when putting this card together. Lol!

The set comes with die cuts for the hearth and the stocking. The fireplace has deeply embossed bricks that make it look so real!

Thin 3D foam squares lift the hearth off the paper just enough to give it a little depth.

Pigments in orange and red got the fire blazing and Copic markers added the color to my logs, and other images. The little stockings are so adorable! Milk and cookies finish off the hearth making it the cutest, warm wishes kind of card!

DASHING THROUGH THE SNOW

Termination dust. That’s what Alaskan’s refer to as the first bits of snow showing up on the mountaintops. Those bits made their way covering our yard and driveway last weekend.

There’s a feeling, a cozy feeling that overcomes you when the snow covers the ground, it’s cold enough to put a sweater on, you don’t have to drive anywhere and you sit down with a warm cuppa and it’s quiet.

Trying to embrace that cozy feeling and getting me in the mood are these adorable critters from Mama Elephant.

Colored them up with Copic Markers and would you look at that gorgeous, sparkly snow!

Lawn Fawn glitter in both the Chunky and Prisma because when you can’t make up your mind, you just use both!
