Get Cracking on Christmas – Merry Little Christmas – Essentials by Ellen

Time to GET CRACKING ON CHRISTMAS! Every month Jenn Shurkus hosts a blog hop to inspire you to get crafty and make some Christmas cards all through the year! She also offers a monthly prize for those uploading their creation on Instagram #getcrackingonChristmas or comment on her blog and link to your card. There are 36 days left until Christmas so here is a bit of inspiration to help you finish strong!

Its the most wonderful time of the month!!!

Some delightful sets from Ellen Hutson LLC found their way to my mailbox and into my heart! I just love the little village buildings, woodsy cabin and the sweet little tree toting car images in this set and the matching dies. Providing the best background is the Twirling Flurries die. Both of these sets are designed by Her Royal Rubberness, Julie Ebersole.

I’m imagining a little cabin in the wood, where future Christmas trees grow and that cute little car is driving their tree home!

Using the Twirling Flurries background cover die made this card fairly quick and easy. Trimmed slightly to allow for some sparkly glitter paper to frame it and popped it up on dimensionals, as dimensionals are one of the secrets to life!

And, for an extra little something, here are a few cards that I made from November’s Monthly kit from Hero Arts.

Hero Arts inks blended perfectly for the owl background and then embossed with the little background image in the set.

Using the same little background image, the tree and it’s masking die to create this focal point. A Sizzix Snowfake embossing folder enhances the card background.

Who doesn’t love a happy snowman! Love this little smiley guy! The background is stamped with the lovely Hero Arts ink pad included in the Monthly kit.

Hoping this month’s cards provide some inspration for you to GET CRACKING ON CHRISTMAS!

Cheers!
