CHRISTMAS IN JULY-Anita Jeram for Colorado Craft Company

Colorado Craft Company puts the MERRY in Christmas this July with the cutest critters from Anita Jeram’s illustrations. This latest release has everything you need for Christmas cards, tags and fun projects. The critters are certainly adorable but, the SENTIMENTS are AMAZING! So many fun quotes and perfect sentiments for Christmas and Holiday crafting.

Mice Ornaments (AJ832) Copic colored and nested on a white embossed 3C’s image Pine Swag (BB692). I love enhancing my copic coloring with colored pencil and “glittering!” This set has several cute sentiments that fit inside the large ornament.

Just Add Snow (AJ840) has the cutest snow bunnies ever! Made that snow glisten with glitter touches and a fun snowflake background die by Lawn Fawn. I loved all the sentiments in this set and nearly used them all!

The Way of Water – Colorado Craft Company Featuring images by Anita Jeram

Always FUN to have a NEW release by COLORADO CRAFT COMPANY and a completely new style of images from Anita Jeram. Sea going creatures in this release that includes three (3) large 6 x 6″ sets with matching sentiments and one 3 x 4″ and one 2 x 3″ sets all with matching dies all with a nautical theme. This time there are Mermaids, Seahorses, Whales and Penguins!

I tried something a bit different with the MERMAID and WHALE set this time. It’s been awhile since I’ve done some paper piecing and this set was just perfect for it!

This is a great way to use up any colored paper scraps and have some fun decorating . I added some coloring to some of the pieces but, mostly I just stamped and fussy cut the pieces. I stamped the image on Distress Heavy Stock and then began adding my pieces from the top down.

This next card is from both of the smaller stamp sets Walrus Mini and Seas the Day. I did a little masking as if the Walrus is trying to squish through the Pilings to say “Hi!”

I love the sentiment that is included in the Seas the Day set that I used here. Living in Alaska for most of my life I was able to see Walrus on several occasions. I colored him in with Copies and enhanced a bit with some colored pencil. Pier pilings always seem to need rope on them or at least that is how I always picture them so I added a couple of pieces on one of the pilings. Some easy Distress Ink blending for a soft but slightly stormy backdrop and some glitter on the clouds that I added with the Lawn Fawn Cloud stencil. The sentiment is heat embossed in Versafine with clear embossing powder.

Get Cracking on Christmas – Colorado Craft Company – Joy Ornaments

Maybe you’ve heard that quote attributed to Charles Dickens, “I will honor Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year.” Makes it easy when you play along with #Getcrackingonchristmas thanks to Jenn Shurkus http://shurkus.com . Every 3rd Thursday of each month we celebrate by making a card or many in preparation for Christmas, so that by December you have at least 12 cards already made and ready to send!

Starting out right away with a simple, design with a little sparkle background and images from Colorado Craft Company http://www.coloradocraftcompany.com from the Joy Ornaments set.

I love the Alabaster White embossing powder from Brutus Monroe which looks so bright against the deep red of Lawn Fawn’s Barn Red card stock. Using Distress Ink in Aged Mahogany and Black Soot I deepened up the color a bit giving it an almost velvet look.

Mounted it on a piece of Pixie Dust Sparkle card stock again by Lawn Fawn, added some snow flake sequins by Lucy’s Little Things and this month’s card is done. Something nice about a design like this is that multiples are easy using your Misti or a stamp platform.

This month’s card is one I worked on for Colorado Craft Company’s Anita Jeram’s release and have it here for you today! Visit 3C’s website here: .coloradocraftcompany.com Totally inspired by Jennifer MCGUIRE’s shadow box cards this card features the adorable set “But First Presents.”

I snuck a cute little die cut tree by Pretty Pink Posh in the scene after I covered it with Lawn Fawn’s chunky glitter. One of the things I had to buy while I was waiting for our moving van to arrive was Lawn Fawn glitters!

Here is a quick process photo that shows how simple it is to make a Shadow Box card by merely scoring a couple of lines on both sides of two pieces of card stock to make up your side folds. Die cutting a window in the front can be any shape or size that works for your scene.

And now for the fun part! PRESENTS! So in my haste to place another order with Simon Says Stamp, I double ordered Ranger’s Distress Crayons, set 3 and 4 of the Holiday sets! So Yippee Skippee I will be choosing one person from my Instagram post to Win these two sets.

Colorado Craft Company-Ukraine’s Sunflower Fundraiser

Colorado Craft Company has released a BIG and BOLD set, “Ukraine’s Sunflower that they have designed to fundraise for Yana and the war efforts on the ground in Ukraine. We appreciate Yana and all that she means to our industry and want to show support like so many have already. There have been auctions and makers who have created to supply them and those dedicating their time to organize them. Now Colorado Craft Company will be donating all proceeds from the sale of stamps and dies to Yana to help support the troops in Ukraine.

This is such a beautiful set with matching dies available. I chose the clean and simple, nearly one layer card idea with my 5 x 7 card, here.

The set includes five (5) sentiments, some which point to hopefully brighter days ahead and to be used to send cards whenever the need arises to our family and friends. Who can even imagine what words might bring comfort during a time of war and uncertainty.

My image was stamped in Copic friendly ink and colored in with Copic markers. I love using colored pencil to detail and intensify my coloring and find it so relaxing. From my work teaching card classes and designing I have accumulated quite the supply of Copics. I say that because when I’m achieving a color combo, I just play with it until I get what I like. To list my combinations might have you shaking your head! LOL!
