Get Cracking on Christmas

Snowstorms make it easy to get in the Christmas mood with the white stuff flying around, and clinging to your dogs fur like snowballs. After Anchorage had record cold temperatures (top 10 of all January’s) I was more than excited to get out of town, spending a couple weeks in Hawaii.

Another card to inspire you to make those Christmas/Holiday cards year around thanks to Jenn Shurkus and her “Get Cracking On Christmas” blog hop.

Lawn Fawn’s “Mice on Ice” was one of my favorites from the Fall/Winter 2019 release. The “Stitched Pond” die is the perfect iceskating rink for the little mice as they skate and pirouette. Living in Alaska most of my life my not so fond memory of skating, during 7th grade gym class, was skating with my hands in my pockets. Falling and unable to catch myself, I fell hard breaking my arm. Thankfully these little mice are skating just perfectly!

No skating party is complete without a “Warm Up Hut” and the Lawn Fawn Winter Village set had a perfect little house that looked welcoming. Most of the coloring was done with Copic Markers enhanced with colored pencil.

Thank you for stopping by and remember Jenn will be offering a prize each month for those who either use the #getcrackingonchristmas or leave a comment on Jen’s blog http://shurkus.com post with a link to their card. Shopping my affiliated links does compensate me (at NO cost to you) which helps to offset blog costs.
