Rainbows, Books and Coffee – Waffleflower Crafts

Sometimes card inspiration comes from what is laying random on my desk in front of me. My desk was full of that sort of inspiration since I had been busy getting ready for company and enjoying my time with them. So Waffleflower Crafts Rainbow die, still on my desk from a recent order, was waiting to be put to work!  I love a colorful, sparkly, glittery rainbow and used American Crafts glitter tape as the base for my rainbow. The glittery tape surface doesn’t shed glitter so I used Copic markers to color unconventional rainbow stripes and then die cut it.

That’s when the whole “Reading Rainbow” idea came to me! Ha! Now that little tune is going to be spinning around between your ears! So using Waffleflower Crafts, “Books and Coffee” stamp set was just perfect for a fun, all occasion card.

Summer in Alaska is winding down, the last salmon are making their way up stream and reading and coffee are sounding like a good idea. Jungle Birthday Pull Tab – Waffleflower

A bit of the tropical look to this fun Jungle B-Day, Pull Tab card using Waffleflower products. Had embossed Sizzix Houndstooth for the background of the card using Gathered Twigs distressed oxide to give it that thatched straw kind of beachy look. How I love a beachy, tropical look!

Using Waffleflower Rectangle 1 dies to make a frame and then the magic of the Pull Tab die set to make the Pull Tab. What is a party without cake!

The Waffleflower video with Channin using the Pull Tab on the ballerina card was great inspiration for this jungle birthday party. The Pull Tab is really creatively designed making it super easy to make a pull-tab style card!

I did use fun foam on the back of the card to pop it up a bit allowing a place for the cake to hide when it’s not pulled out.

I love the little arrow detail on the pull tab! All the jungle friends & foliage were colored with copics.

All Ears! – Waffle Flower

Are you listening? Actually, better put, what are you listening too? Or who are you listening to? Good questions to ask ourselves! Wise words for some, aren’t the wisest for others since everyone’s circumstances are not always the same! Playing with Waffle Flower images again today, this one by Helen Dardik, “Enveloper Listen.”

Every time I see this image I think of hands over ears going, “nana nana nana, I can’t hear you.”

The Lil’ Inker Designs Fringe Scalloped Rectangle Die makes that cute little punched scalloped edge. I used Copic Markers for my coloring and embossed Versafine Onyx Black for the sentiment.

Hard to see from the photo’s but, there is a new Hero Arts product on the flower cut out along the edge. I tried the new Crystal Clear Lacquer Pen squeezing a layer over the flower to gloss it up a bit. Really like the fine tip and easy to hold tube the product comes in.

This angle really shows the little scallops on the Lil’ Inker die. You’ll just have to believe me about the shiny flower in all it’s glossiness.

Thank you for stopping by, the product affiliate links are below to help enable you! I love making cards, trying new things and am always willing to share the new things that work for me! I do receive a small credit if you shop from my links.

As always comments make me smile and help me to remember someone might be listening!

Pretty Butterflies – Waffle Flower

Butterflies make me think of warm days and sunshine. With snow flurries last night and lots of snow on the road this morning, trust me butterflies weren’t flying in my airspace! LOL! Waiting for butterflies and for the new Waffle Flower release! Always look forward to their new images and dies.

So while waiting for my order to arrive, these butterflies make a nice distraction.

The paper just melts coming out of the dies using my new Gemini Junior, so far just loving it! Watercolored a background and cut it to match the die cuts.

Happy Friday! Stay warm and cozy Spring is right around the corner!
