Keep Swimming – Essentials by Ellen – Inner Mermaid by Julie Ebersole

An “Action Wobbler” has this Mermaid’s tail flipping. This from a new set in the recent Essentials by Ellen release featuring some very magical sets by Julie Ebersole. Many images on today’s card are from the Inner Mermaid set which pairs nicely with an earlier set called Mermaid’s Tail.  Both have very fun and sassy sentiments that work with nautical themed cards.

Watercoloring seemed perfect for my mermaid, shells and starfish and is one of my favorite ways to color backgrounds or images. It comes together quickly and is so relaxing. I used colored card stock for my background and some random sequins and stars for some magical touches.

Unicorns ‘n Rainbows by Julie

Magical, Dreamy, and on my card today, living among the clouds. This card inspired from a set in a new release from Ellen Hutson LLC. The “Unicorns ‘n Rainbows” set has several very magical looking unicorns, fluffy clouds, rainbows , sentiments, stars, hearts, an arrow and some shooting stars.

A dreamy watercolor background seemed like the perfect backdrop for this sweet image. Not wanting to distract from the pastel colors of the unicorn I left out coloring on my rainbow. Actually, my dog ate the one I had colored, after I noticed that I rather liked it plain, better!

 

What a special, feel good kind of sentiment to send off and encourage someone today!
