It’s time to GET CRACKING! Another fun opportunity to get some cards ready for the holiday as Christmas is coming! This month’s featured set is by Kris Lauren for Colorado Craft Company. A super adorable little set that is available with matching die. Speaking of the North Pole…WE MOVED! We left the ice and snow for warmer TEXAS weather. Driving out of Alaska to Texas we visited 10 States and 2 Canadian Provinces! I was hoping to have all my supplies by now but, they are in transit and sitting in our moving van somewhere in Great Falls, MT awaiting a driver to truck them to Texas.

That wasn’t going to stop me! Placing some orders with www.Ellenhutson.com and www.simonsaysstamp.com I was able to order minimal supplies to help me GET CRACKING! It was a challenge to see how few supplies you really need to have fun and get creative!

After stamping my focal point image I used the Snow Flurries stencil by Lawn Fawn, Altenew Detail blending brushes and Catherine Poolers “Hot Tub” ink from the Spa Collection for my snow flurries.

Thankfully I ordered some Iuile Watercolors from @iulewatercolors on Etsy & had them for most of my coloring. The Christmas Series was perfect for the colors I needed. I received my new Distress Ink in Lumberjack Plaid and an order of Copics so I literally had 4 colors and a blender. B32 gave me a little hint of snow.

A piece of 6×6 red paper from my granddaughters paper collection helped frame out the image which I cut with her paper trimmer, mounted on 3M foam tape mounted on Neenah 110# with more stenciled flakes. Gasped when realizing I didn’t have glitter. So I used my Iuile Watercolor in Silver and put a tiny spot on each snow flurry. Heh, Heh…You do what you got too!That’s pretty much it!

It’s time for a little MAGIC TIME and Anita Jeram does again with MAGIC TIME, ON BROADWAY AND FAIRY GODMOTHER. Three (3) adorable sets with matching dies working together or separately to make up the cutest scenes!

Sentiments galore in all of the sets for ENCOURAGING, BIRTHDAY and celebrating a little MAGIC!

I’m looking for miracles after a lifetime of living in Alaska we are moving! I could use a Fairy Godmother and her magic wand to get my studio packed up!

Used one of my favorite sentiments from this new ANITA JERAM collection, “Believe in miracles, they really do happen.”

ON BROADWAY set includes the curtains, stage lights and all the elements to make your stage scene come to life.

The MAGIC TIME set includes Cinderella mouse before her transformation and FAIRY GODMOTHER set has her all ready for the “Mousequerade! It also has a Fairy Godmother mouse, 5 sentiments and 4 small stars.

Copic markers for the coloring on all the images. Using Colorless Blender solution and a small piece of terry cloth towel, added some texture to the large pumpkin image. The scene comes together easily with the wall, window and curtain stamps from the “On Broadway,” set. I triple stamped and stacked the curtains to provide a little dimension.

The Cutest FAIRY GODMOTHER featured on this next card with some MAGIC dust all heat embossed in Gold.

She would be so perfect for a birthday card with the sentiment from “Magic Time,” “Have the dreamiest birthday ever!” Lots of possibilities!

I love a quick and easy card for Christmas and coloring is so relaxing for me.

1.Using the Lawn Fawn Stitched Snowflake Background, cut a 4.5 x 5.5″ card stock out of light blue card (Hero Arts, Arctic)

2. Die cut circle die cut from Lawn Fawn Peacock card stock.

3. Stamp with alcohol friendly ink (Lawn Fawn Jet Black) Kitty from Colorado Craft Company “All is Bright” set

4. Copic color image and enhance with colored pencil.

5. White heat emboss and die cut sentiment from Colorado Craft Company “Winter Wishes Snowflake”

6. Mount on 110 lb cardstock, add Lawn Fawn Glitter using a Quickie Glue Pen and Prisma Glitter!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! I’m singing “Deck the Halls, but it doesn’t feel like Christmas at all!” All of our favorites in one place! Anita Jeram sets, Kris Lauren sets along with Big and Bold and Savvy sentiments in this another fabulous release by Colorado Craft Company.

After being on an extended trip to the “LOWER 48” (that’s how Alaskan’s refer to the Continental states)I felt like I was at a buffet when my 3C sets arrived! So much variety in this RELEASE there is something for so many styles.

Impossible to choose we’ll start with the Anita Jeram “All is Bright” set. This set includes an adorable kitty and sweet pup under the branch of a Christmas tree and 4 sentiments. The sentiments have so many possibilities with other sets, too!

Next up is a “Clean and Simple” “One Layer Wonder” card. Inspired by the Quick Cards LG, Savvy sentiments card I stamped the MERRY and BRIGHT sentiment, white embossed parts of the “Pine Swag” from the BIG & BOLD set, and added sequins. It just needs an addressed envelope! Who doesn’t need a quick and simple card during the holidays!

Kris Lauren had me with her Chillin’ Gnomies! I loved her Santa Gnome! He is ADORABLE. Is it his eyes? His beard? So cute! So made him the focal point dropping down the chimney with a classic sentiment from the “Pine Swag” set.

GORGEOUS FLORALS just in time for SPRING! Another beautiful release of stamps brought to us by Colorado Craft Company! Today they are releasing five (5) new sets with matching dies featuring the lovely, sometimes whimsical, artwork of Kris Lauren of Pretty Little Lines.

Floral Corners #KL622 are truly gorgeous, blooming corner images including 4 sentiments and the cutest little bee!

Another card featuring the other “Corners” image. Background above is a Distress Ink “Smooshing” technique done on watercolor paper with acetate. Both cards Images are stamped, clear, heat embossed and colored in using “Fantastix” coloring tools with the same Distress Inks. This process made coloring the flowers in so quick, easy and matched my background perfectly. And then enhanced them with colored pencil.

One more floral image to share with you today from the Flower Pot set & matching dies.

I just love this little mossy pot! The set has six (6) lovely images; the 2 beautiful bouquets, the adorable little pot & 3 of the cutest little bugs & a bee image. The focal image is water colored, enhanced with colored pencil, adhered to a rectangle die cut with dimensional foam squares. That piece is foam backed and centered on a background using the same floral bouquet image stamped randomly on 4.25×5.5″ card stock. The sentiment is from the new Kris Lauren set “Daffodil Mice.”

Celebrate Spring!!

Cuteness like you have never seen! Such variety of illustrations, each one so adorable and florals that are just beautiful.

Featured on my blog post today are a few of those cute images!

Masked up this cute scene and colored the images with alcohol Copic Markers and then did final detailing with Caran d’ache Luminence colored pencils to blend and intensify the colors. Gave a quick kiss of my white Gelly Roll pen for the spots on the mushroom and highlights on the little mouse cheeks. Background is a Lawn Fawn, Lots of Hearts stencil.

I love a whimsical image! This snail looks like he has a quilted shell! So cute! I decked him out in rainbow colors, here.

Here he is popped up on foam dimensionals looking over the mushroom image. A Lawn Fawn cloud die cut creates my sky above highlighting the black embossed sentiment included in this set.

One more for now as I am running away from chilly Alaskan weather for tropical sunshine! Fitting for this to be a beautiful peony, floral image with buds and berry accents. It is absolutely lovely and so fun to color!

This time I mounted my image on black card stock and did a 40# Vellum overlay to diffuse and soften my card.
